Checkup and Cleaning

We like to see your child on a regular basis for a check-up and cleaning (every 4-6-months). During a typical visit with our dentist, we do a thorough exam to assess the health of your child's teeth, gums, and mouth. We may take x-rays to check for cavities, clean and polish their teeth, and apply fluoride for cavity prevention. Before you leave, we will discuss and reinforce proper oral hygiene practice at home.

Dental Fillings

Typically, small cavities, or cavities on your child's front teeth, are fixed with a white composite filling, and big cavities on your child's back teeth and molars can be restored with stainless steel crowns. Crowns are used for larger cavities to help protect teeth from further issues, especially if they are permanent teeth. We recommend cleaning your child's teeth after every snack and meal to prevent the need for a dental filling.

Tongue-Tie and Lip-Tie

Tongue-tie or lip-tie occurs when the tissue connecting the tongue or lip to the mouth is too tight, restricting movement and potentially causing difficulties with breastfeeding, speech, or oral health.

Dental Sealants

Sealants are a protective coating placed on the grooves of teeth (typically molars that are 6-years or older) to help prevent cavities. The sealant blocks food particles from getting trapped in pits and grooves of your child's teeth. The procedure is simple and non-invasive.

Dental Emergencies

Children tend to be more care-free, and care-less, than grown-ups. We understand that accidents happen, and when they do, we are here to help your child. If your child has a dental emergency or dental trauma, call us immediately. We will fit you into our schedule as soon as possible.
